Plot and Intro:
//. Long ago, The Kingdom of Trindall was unified and prospering under the rulers King Gerald and Queen Thyca. When the rulers suddenly died of unexplainable causes, a plot within itself, the kingdom was thrown into chaos. In an effort to restore calm and order, the nobles searched for the deceased rulers' family. They came across the two young nephews Alchist and Derron. Not able to pick one above the other and unsuccesfully seeking flaws in the boys' bloodlines, the valley was divided into two and shared equally.
This method worked well for the first few years, before the separate rulers began accusing each other of stealing food, land, money, people, anything they could think of. Border skirmishes became common, and eventually they grew into larger scale battles.
Then one night about five years later, a prophecy was recorded. Though the words were kept secret between the rulers only, it threw them into a riot, and the next night both the Alliances' armies were at war.
This was, without a name, raged over a century, in which Alchist and Derron were killed in the fighting. But it ran on after their departure, led by their Seconds In Command, now not only for victory, but for revenge.
In the midst of the Wars are the rebels, an Alliance on their own, and a danger to the Alliances of Alchist and Derron. The rebels are all people in any way opposed to the Wars and unwilling to be Drafted. Though any one can be a rebel, the main groups causing trouble are the organized groups of Deserters, who know the Wars and their Alliances.
Beyond the reach of mortal skirmishes are the Forces that lurk within the forests and the Spirits that roam their deserted Temples. What will happen if the Others decide they've had enough? With control of Time shared between them, anything is possible.
Now that the wars have spanned nearly eighteen years, it is about time something is done. And it all has to start by uncovering the past.
