IMAGINE. 16,000 years ago: glaciers travel over the shaping, hulking figures of earth as they form the rolling curvatures of today's Great Plains.
IMAGINE. Wolves that surpass your hips are wandering through the stalks of grass that cover the plains and to your right are the felines with 7-inch long canines scything the air.
IMAGINE. As you travel the forest, a bear lumbers past that doubles your height as he ominously looms over you. When you reach the edge, a sloth crosses your path; but no, not in the tree but on the ground and he surpasses the bear reaching the height of 20 feet.
IMAGINE. As you stumble back onto the plains, a herd of horses you thought you could only see in Asia stampede right in front of your face. Following close behind - lions, real lions.
IMAGINE. As the ground rumbles beneath your feet and you look up, the shaggy beast above you slams his foot to the ground and gives a rumbling yell with his elongated nose. The mammoth turns as if considering you before reaching high into the trees and grabbing a snack.
IMAGINE. Being back in the Ice Age, and you are one of the greatest predators - a wolf, a Dire Wolf with bone-crushing jaws and a heavy build.
